Flags for Veterans

Every known veteran will have a flag placed on their grave for Memorial Day weekend in honor of their service. If you know of any veterans who do not have markers at their grave identifying them as veterans, please send an email to Bill Price so he can add them to the list. captainprice16@gmail.com

Memorial Day Events

11:00 AM

A Memorial Day Service sponsored by the American Legion will be held at the Fairview Cemetery Pavilion. Please join our community as we honor those who have served our country.

12:00 PM

It's back! We will be once again holding our Memorial Day Dinner Fundraiser. Lunch will be served following the conclusion of the American Legion's Memorial Day Service.

Christmas Wreaths for Veterans

Every year, Sirens and Salutes places Christmas wreaths on the graves of every known veteran buried in Fairview and Mountain View Cemeteries. There are approximately 500 veteran’s graves in these two cemeteries. Sirens and Salutes is looking for volunteers to help them with this task. If you would like to help, please meet us at the Cemetery Pavilion at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 8.

On January 4th, 10:00 am, we will meet again to collect the wreaths from the graves.

Any help you can provide setting out or picking up wreaths is greatly appreciated!
